ARKA JAIN UNIVERSITY
ARKA JAIN University was established in the year 2017 by the Jharkhand State Legislature under “The ARKA JAIN University Act” and is recognized by UGC. It is the first state private university in the Kolhan region (comprising of three districts) of the state.
Accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade in the first cycle, the first state private university in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal to have this distinction.
The University has its root in the prestigious JAIN Group, Bengaluru which has 77-plus educational institutions under its fold.
It is mentored by JAIN (Deemed-to-Be-University), Bengaluru, a NAAC A++ and NIRF Top-100 HEI.
The university has the necessary affiliations, recognitions and memberships from such bodies as AICTE, BCI, PCI, OCI, INC, JNRC, AIU, ASCO for relevant programmes. AJU is an ISO-certified “Educational Organization Management System” University.

The Centre for Distance and Online Education – ARKA JAIN University, established in the year 2024, is dedicated to providing high-quality, flexible, and accessible education to learners from different walks of life who are looking for a credible higher education platform without going through the grind of a full-time degree.
The Open and Distance Learning programmes (BBA and MBA) and the Online Learning programmes (BBA, MBA, BCA and MCA) offered by the Centre are specifically designed for members of the working class, industry professionals, business executives at various government positions, academicians looking to enhance their credentials, hospital and business owners, entrepreneurs, women/ home makers.
Through these programmes, the learner is provided with an opportunity to participate in the university’s open & distance learning and online programmes meant for such individuals who can’t devote the time to attend regular classes and pursue a regular degree programme as well as such learners who can’t go for an offline degree altogether.
To cater to the learning requirements of the enrolled students, there is provision of classes during weekend for the open and distance learning programmes, monitored by the staff of the Centre for Distance and Online Education and the Director.

Dr Easwaran S. Iyer, a Double Doctorate in Management from India and USA, has also completed his M. Phil, MBA, PGDBM, M. Com, LLB & B. Com (Hons). He is having an overall experience of 48 Years with 29 years of industry experience & 19 Years of experience in academia. Currently working with ARKA JAIN University as Vice Chancellor, he has co-authored 32 Journal Publications, 8 Research Publications with indexed Journals. Nominated as member to the All India Management Association (AIMA), Assessor in the revised framework of NAAC, he has visited various Higher Education Institutions for NAAC Assessment, initially as a member, then Co-ordinator and presently as Chairperson. He has been bestowed with the Best Teacher award from Rotary for 3 consecutive Years from Bangalore and Guwahati. Member of AIMA, Member Trustee in India Economic Association, Member of National Human Resource Development Network. He has worked as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru; Head, Chancellor‘s Advisory Board, JAIN (Deemed –to-be-University; Member – President ‘s Advisory Board, Jain Group of Institutions.

Dr. Amit Kumar Shrivastav is Ph.D., MA (Economics), PGDM from MATS School of Business (Bengaluru), B.Sc. (Electronics), from University of Nagpur. He is having overall 19 years of experience with 7 year of Industry experience and 12 Years in the academia. He is currently working with ARKA JAIN University in the capacity of Registrar. He has been awarded as the Best Assistant Manager, twice awarded as the best Analyst and Senior Analyst during his industrial stint. He possesses comprehensive experience in investment reporting, investment data management and analysis domains. He has worked as an Asst. Manager – Investment Reporting & Research Division, BIA team with AXA Business Services, India. He is the President of the Seraikela District Handball Association. He has published papers in UGC Approved Journals and in other reputed research databases. He is an ambitious professional with a proven track record of delivering top performance. He has an innate ability to work in tandem with the co-workers.

Dr Arvind Kumar Pandey has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has more than 25 years of academic, research, administrative, and industrial experience. He has published over 90 research papers in reputed National and International Journals. He also has 10 patents published to his name. He has been Convener and Co-convener of various National and International Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, and FDPs (Faculty Development Programs). Previously worked at various prestigious institutions like Aptech, Tata Steel, etc. He has developed more than 100 projects for different reputed organizations which include Tata Steel, Uranium Corporation of India, etc. Dr. Pandey has strong administrative insight, a strong understanding of academics, and a proactive approach to working in an academic system. He has expertise in handling a wide array of academic and general administrative responsibilities.
